Is your office in need of a team building experience to strengthen relationships? Does your nonprofit or public school need volunteer help to cross projects off of your growing to-do list? If so, the United Way Laurence E. Richardson Day of Caring is a great solution. The deadline to register a team or project is this Friday, June 28th, so don’t miss your chance to participate!
The United Way Day of Caring is a great way to encourage community engagement amongst your staff, to participate in a team building activity, and to show your organization’s commitment to making Charlottesville and the surrounding counties a better place! By signing up a team on our website, you’ll be able to attend the Kick-Off Breakfast at 7:30AM at Albemarle Square on September 18th and spend half to a full day volunteering with a local nonprofit or school.
To register a team, simply click here. If you have participated as a team captain in the past two years, you’ll login on our Volunteer Center website and click Create a New Team. If you are new to being a team captain, you’ll register as a new volunteer and follow the directions to creating a team.
Nonprofits and Schools
This is your last chance to register your projects! Don’t miss the chance to have an energetic, enthusiastic group of volunteers come to your agency to complete projects like weeding, reading to children, painting, and more! Take time to think about the needs of your organization and submit your project or projects today! You can either submit projects online through our web registration or fill out the alternate registration form.
This Friday is an absolute deadline, as we’ll be sending the list of projects out to volunteer teams early next week and beginning project selection on July 8th!
If you have questions or trouble registering, please contact Jessica Snyder.
